Review: Taskmaster, “The oldest I’ve ever looked.” | Series 22, Episode 7

It’s episode 7 of Taskmaster series 22, and we’re back in the studio with Chloe Petts, whose first erotic experience was in a shoe store; Isy Suttie, who has a disorganized silverware drawer; Matt Lucas, who is from Edgware; Nina Conti, who loves trains; and Richard Ayoade, who does not.

An episode of ups and downs, it cemented the likelihood that Petts is going to walk away with the Golden Noggin in a few weeks. Even though the contestants aren’t interacting with each other in the studio as much as previous cohorts have, they’ve settled in with Taskmaster Greg Davies and Little Alex Horne. We started off the season with Petts dominating the in-studio banter, and I’m so pleased that Conti is dishing it out a bit more. She was particularly full of wit this episode, and even Ayoade’s confrontational contrarianism was working better with the show’s sensibilities than we’ve seen in previous episodes.
